A MESSAGE FROM ALEXANDRA
Written on Monday, February 15th 2021
Last Friday, I had a Tarot Reading session unlike any other I'd ever given before. The very next day, a new client asked me if I was available for a reading and the following letter was my answer.
Please note that one day, I would like to share more of my views on Spirituality, reality, what is possible and what isn't as well as mental illness and mental wellness. Today is not that day but I believe this message is still very much needed right now. Thank you for reading me.
A message from Alexandra: About

Dear Mr. X,
Do you know that you have the ability to answer your own questions? Furthermore, do you know that only *you* are in control of your destiny and responsible for yourself? Let me share something with you:
I’ve been reading Tarot cards for almost five years now but it’s my first time ever posting my services on kijiji. This past Friday, although I can’t say for sure, I believe that I had my first Tarot Reading with someone suffering from a mental illness. The questions she wanted me to answer combined with what she shared about her life + outlook on life led me to believe that she wasn’t “all there”. Some might have called her crazy.
It was a very unpleasant experience, not because she was an unpleasant person, but because I felt bad for her. I returned her money to her, but beyond that, I felt I couldn’t provide much help. I wondered if I should refer her to a psychiatrist, whether or not it was my place to question her mental clarity/competence, or how to even broach the subject with her. When we hung up, I felt helpless. I do invite skeptics, so I secretly hoped it was someone “trolling” or testing me. Because otherwise, there’s someone out there that might be paying psychics to tell her things that won’t help her help herself. And mental illness is not always immediately apparent so some psychics could read her and never realize something’s wrong.
I love reading the tarot for myself and my clients and I trust in the veracity of the Tarot. No matter who you are, friend or stranger, I charge for my readings. And I believe I charge a fair price. I would give them to all for free. I actually did give my services for free for two years. And since then, I’ve started increasing my prices in accordance with my expertise. I must charge because my time and energy have value, but I don’t read the Tarot for money, I haven’t made much money from reading cards, and I’m not ashamed of that. In other words, I charge a certain amount because my time, my energy and I matter, but I’m not looking to swindle anyone out of their hard-earned money.
I believe that God is real, and I believe that when I read the tarot, an invisible source comes forth with a message intended for the person I’m reading. These messages can validate choices we’ve made. They can caution, warn, guide and congratulate us. But they do not choose for us. We are in control of our life, our destiny, our choices. We trace our own path and are, hopefully, helped along the way, by a hand we cannot see.
So, with all this said, before I offer you availabilities for a session with me, I’ll ask you something that I usually don’t ask before readings: What do you want? Until now, it’s been very fun for me to tell strangers I’ve never met about their lives. I believed that not asking questions beforehand helped me not be biased and was further proof of “the invisible”. But I don’t want to offer a reading to someone who doesn’t have a hold on their mental abilities again. (Never again if I can help it).
So, I ask you, what do you want? Why do you want a reading? What do you seek from the cards, from me, from the invisible?
I ask because if you can’t prove to me that you are sane, I can’t read your cards. Only someone in full control and acceptance of their life and responsibility in it can enjoy and benefit from a reading.
I hope you aren’t put off by my introduction. But it had to be done. Too many of us walk around with pain and trauma that lead to mental chaos and disarray. I believe many of us can heal these mental aches, discords and illnesses but a Tarot Reading, most often than not, shouldn’t be our first step.
Sincerely,
Alexandra
